Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) appointment scheduling for the Class of 2009

Appointment dates available: July 10 - October 22, 2009

The Office of Student Affairs will begin scheduling appointments for the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) on Monday, July 6, 2009 (Note: no appointment requests will be accepted prior to July 6, 2009). Appointments will begin July 10, 2009 and will continue through October 22, 2009. Students applying for residency beginning in July 2010 must have their MSPE appointment on or before October 22, 2009. Although MSPEs are uploaded to ERAS upon completion, absolutely no MSPE will be released to residency programs prior to November 1, 2009 regardless of specialty or matching service.

To schedule your MSPE appointment, please follow these instructions carefully:
  1. While reviewing the online MSPE appointment calendar, select an available date/time and author (available appointments denoted by one of the following codes: OP-Open = Phillips; GP-Open = Presbury; ; RR-Open = Rosenthal; RF-Open = Fore; DS-Open = Stockton).

    NOTE: DS-Open and RF-Open appointments times are Eastern Standard Time (EST).

  2. After you have reviewed the online MSPE appointment calendar and have selected a date/time and author, contact Debbey Hester at 901.448.5531 to schedule the appointment. You will be asked to provide your full name, contact telephone, UT email address, and indication of what specialty you will be applying for.

    NOTE:
    Appointments are scheduled on a first-come/first-serve basis only. If no appointment date/time is available for a particular author that meets your schedule, you will be asked to choose another author. If you know you will be out of town during a particular month(s) and you have a particular author you wish to schedule with, DO NOT wait until the last minute to schedule your MSPE appointment as that author may or may not have availability at that time. Appointments for each author may be added or deleted at any time during this process.

    Once you have reviewed the MSPE Appointment Calendar online, you may schedule your MSPE appointment by one of the following ways:

    • in person, 910 Plaza Bldg., Room 1043
    NOTE: If you schedule your appointment via email, in addition to the date/time and author, you must also include your full name, contact telephone, UT email address, and area of specialty you will be applying for. In the event your requested cannot be scheduled, you will be contacted either by telephone or email.

  3. Confirmation of the date, time and location of your appointment can be obtained by reviewing the MSPE Calendar.
